1.5 Miles – Roadford Lake

Roadford Lake was opened in 1989 and can be found just over a mile from our site. Spanning approximately 730 acres, the lake is able to provide some dramatic and stunning views all year round. Facilities at the lake include, Lakeside Restaurant, Visitor Centre, Miles of footpaths, Cycleway, Angling and water sports centre


2 Miles – Fairground Heritage Centre

Just 2 miles from our site is Dingles Fairground Heritage Centre and is the only site in the UK designed to capture the magic of a bygone age through exhibits, vintage engineering and stunning artwork displays.


3 Miles – Wildlife and Photography Centre

The centre was established in 2009 by the naturalist Derek Gow and is an utterly unique facility. Based on his experience of enclosure design for the New Forest Nature Quest project and the Wildwood Centre near Canterbury Derek has drawn on over 16 years of experience with wildlife film makers and wildlife photographers to create a series of purpose built wildlife photography and film sets for British Mammals.


6 Miles – Homleigh Garden Centre

Homeleigh Garden Centre is one of the South West's largest family run garden centres, where you can find everything for the keen gardener, for the home maker, for the angler, for pets, plus much more.


6 Miles – Launceston Castle & Steam Railway

The nearest town to our caravan site is Launceston (6 miles) which can be found just inside the Cornish border. A key element to the town is the historic presence of Launceston Castle which dominates the surrounding landscape.  The castle is thought to date back to 1067 and was raised by the half brother of William the Conqueror shortly after the Norman conquest.


8 Miles – Brent Tor Church, Dartmoor

Perched at approximately 330 metres above sea level, Brent Tor Church is situated on the Dartmoor National Park and offers stunning panoramic views.


8 Miles – Cowslip Workshops

Combining a great cafe with a variety of workshops on embroidery, textiles and crafts this is one venue that is very popular with our visitors and often gains rave reviews.


10 Miles – Dartmoor National Park

Possibly the most famous and well know of the attractions of Devon is the Dartmoor National Park. Covering a staggering 368 square miles of Devon countryside it is able to offer near endless walking opportunities. The views that can be enjoyed from the top of the tors are breathtaking and simply unrivalled. Our site is approximately 10 miles from the edge of Dartmoor meaning that it will be right on your doorstep during your say.


10 Miles – Lydford Gorge

Lydford Gorge is the largest of its kind in the South West. The River Lyd flows from the southerly hills of Dartmoor National Park and through the gorge. Owned and maintained by the National Trust since 1947, the gorge features the 100 ft (30 metre) high 'White Lady Waterfall' and a series of whirlpools known as the 'Devil's Cauldron'.  Lydford Gorge is less than a 20 minute drive. This unique natural attraction is a fantastic day out for all.
